The Department of Orthopaedics at Aga Khan University is committed to advancing musculoskeletal health through high-quality clinical and translational research. The department focuses on orthopaedic trauma, joint replacement, sports injuries, spine disorders and bone health, with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and improving patient outcomes. Through multidisciplinary collaboration and academic excellence, the department actively contributes to national and international research and supports the development of future clinician-scientists.

This is a grant-funded contractual position.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

  • collect data from clinical areas and records, and perform data entry, cleaning, validation, analysis and management
  • prepare study progress reports and ensure timely submission, including safety reporting
  • coordinate with investigators, research assistants and relevant departments/institutions
  • assist in manuscript writing and scientific publications
  • manage ethics review committee (ERC) submissions, including amendments and extension requests
  • participate in regular study monitoring and compliance activities
  • support grant protocol development, including drafting proposals and preparing budgets
  • prepare presentations and conduct literature reviews
  • recruit study participants, administer questionnaires and assess patient outcomes
  • contribute to international conference abstracts, audits and other research dissemination activities.

Requirements

You should have:

  • a graduate or post-graduate degree in a health-related field, preferably in medical sciences
  • at least two years of research experience in clinical or pharmaceutical sciences
  • sound knowledge of research processes, data management and scientific writing
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and IBM SPSS Statistics
  • familiarity with image analysis software will be considered an added advantage.
