About the Role

JOB SUMMARY

The Station Scheduler ensures strategic and compliant planning, scheduling, and coordination of all radio content. The Scheduler ensures that the programming grids reflect the station's editorial, spiritual, commercial, and audience engagement objectives balancing ministry purpose with audience growth and revenue performance. The Scheduler ensures all schedules adhere to Hope Media's house style and meet every transmission regulatory, internal, and external standards /requirement.

The position reports to the Content and Editorial Lead.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage 24-hour daily, weekly, and seasonal broadcast schedules including programmes, music, commercials, and promos.

Align schedules with editorial, spiritual, commercial, and audience engagement objectives.

Collaborate with programming, production, revenue, marketing, and technical teams to ensure seamless execution of schedules.

Plan and coordinate live broadcasts, special programmes, and event coverage across platforms.

Utilize audience analytics and feedback to optimize scheduling performance and listener engagement.

Receive, vet, and manage all audio content, ensuring compliance with editorial standards and broadcast readiness.

Maintain and update scheduling and automation systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency of broadcast operations.

Coordinate music scheduling and ensure consistency with the station's brand sound and identity.

Integrate advertising, sponsorships, and ministry content effectively within programming schedules.

Monitor time band performance and recommend improvements to enhance audience reach and engagement.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate broadcast logs and reports.

Drive innovation in scheduling, digital integration, and content delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.

Requirements

Must be a born-again, mature Christian who conforms to the CITAM statement of faith.

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mass Communication or related field with at least 3 years' experience in radio scheduling, programming, or traffic coordination.

Proven expertise in content planning, music rotation, and broadcast optimization within a professional media environment.

Strong understanding of radio programming principles, audience dynamics, and Christian music genres (local and global).

Proficient in broadcast automation and scheduling systems (e.g., Synergy, RCS, Dalet).

Familiar with regulatory and compliance frameworks including CA, KFCB, KAMP, and PRISK.

Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills with high attention to detail and creativity.

Flexible and adaptable to work early morning, evenings, weekends, and during live event schedules.

Strong time management and adaptability to real-time programming changes.
