About the Role
Overview
The Mission Department is looking for a Mission Home Attendant to assist with the domestic duties at the Mission Home for the new Brisbane South Mission. The purpose of this position is to provide a clean, sanitary, comfortable, orderly, and satisfying environment for the Mission President’s family, missionaries, and visitors.
This is a permanent part-time role working 20 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work at the mission home located in Windaroo, Queensland, and must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of this location. Flexibility of hours is essential for this role especially during the busier transfer weeks.
Role
This position helps provide and maintain facilities which give Church members places where they can work, worship, teach, learn, pray together, make and renew covenants, and receive sacred ordinances. Each Church facility that is built and/or maintained should 1) Provide a spiritual setting for members to worship, and 2) Present an image of reverence and dignity in the community. This position exists to serve priesthood leaders by providing temples, headquarters, and other facilities for their use to help bring souls unto Christ.
This position works under the direction of the facility manager with coordination from the mission president or mission president's wife to assist with the operation of the mission home. Duties vary but typically include assistance with maintaining property cleanliness, preparing meals, assisting with child care and laundry. Efficient and timely completion of assigned duties.

Duties are varied and typically include:
- Assisting with the operation of the Mission Home
- Maintaining property cleanliness including kitchens, floors, bathrooms, restrooms, bedrooms, changing linen, dusting, waste removal
- Managing household tasks such as laundry and meal preparation
- The efficient and timely completion of assigned duties
Requirements
Excellent experience and skills in domestic cleaning
Able to assist with cooking and catering as required
Good communication skills in the English language
Flexibility with work schedules
Exceptional organisation and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
A desire to provide extraordinary customer service
Ability to work unsupervised
