About the Role
Overview
The purpose of this role is to act as a leader with full people management responsibilities over an HR team assigned to support compliance efforts for the US workforce.
Employees at this level work with a high degree of latitude, have expert knowledge, and handle the most complex issues and problems.
This role reports to Director, Workforce Relations and Compliance and has frequent partnership with Human Resource department leaders and teams, COEs, internal and external legal counsel, and employees.

Responsibilities
- Provide people leadership and development
- Provide consultative leadership support
- Manage department-level projects
- Accountable to deliver the following essential activities for the US workforce:
- Compliance with Local Employment Requirements
- Manages processes for I-9 compliance, E-Verify, and monitoring legal status for international students and foreign workers
- Manages processes for all US legal compliance for employment laws and regulations
- Disability Accommodation Review and Administration
- Oversees ADA processes for legal compliance with mandated state and local disability laws
- Legal Advice and Counsel for Issues and Concerns
- Legally Required Leave Administration
- Oversees compliance for federally (FMLA), state, and locally mandated leaves.
- Response to Regulatory Agency Claims, Lawsuits, Subpoenas, and Attorneys Representing Employees
- Compliance Training and Support for Managers
- Legal Employment Eligibility
- Governmental/Court Employment Verifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 10 years industry-related experience
- Deep HR operational knowledge
- Familiarity with best practices of HR functions
- Key skills and core competencies include the ability to:

- Deliver excellent customer service
- Think strategically and systematically to solve complex problems
- Lead and implement organizational change
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally through influence and compromise

- Manage assignments that are broad and complex in nature involving a matrix reporting situation
- To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for extended periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment.
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Previous experience managing a team
