Institutional Accreditation Officer- Job Grade Cue 6 at Commission for University Education

• Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: -

Providing administrative and logistical arrangements for routine inspection/technical Inspection Committee meetings;

Organizing documentation for Accreditation Committee Meetings;

In-putting data on proposals received, institutions being evaluated and accredited institutions;

In-putting data on prequalified peer reviewers into the official departmental database;

Writing minutes during departmental and lower-level Commission Committee Meetings;

Evaluating proposals on proposed universities and preparing evaluation reports;

Evaluating institutional reports; and

Maintaining status reports on the evaluation of the academic programmes.

Person specification

• For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

• Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: - Education, Business Administration, Law, Social Sciences or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution;

Membership to relevant professional bodies and in good standing;

Proficiency in computer applications; and

Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

• Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).

• Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).

• Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).

• Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
