Senior Ict Assistant- Job Grade Cue 7 at Commission for University Education

• Duties and responsibilities will entail assisting in: -

Installing, updating and optimizing network systems;

Monitoring Servers, Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) and WI-FI to ensure coverage;

Coordinating with design, implementation and support of new software and features;

Attending to ICT related issues, hardware maintenance, software and networking;

Initiating procurement requisitions from the stores for CUE ICT department;

Providing helpdesk and technical support either by phone, remote access or site visit;

Setting up of equipment for new users and employees and on boarding them on their usages;

Coordinating repair and maintains ICT equipment, and associated peripherals;

Ensuring system optimization for all technology resources;

Performing data backups to ensure all Commission data and systems are secure; and

Implementing, installing and maintaining Commission's communication and telephone systems.

Persons Specification

For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have:

Diploma in Information Technology / Computer Science / Information Systems from an institution recognized in Kenya with four (4) years relevant work experience;

Professional Qualifications and Membership to professional bodies;

Relevant ICT certification from recognized certification bodies;

Proficiency in computer applications; and

Fulfill the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya.

• Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).

• Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).

• Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).

• Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
