Job Requirements

Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Surgery or Clinical Medicine & Community Health;

Higher Diploma in Clinical Medicine - Psychiatry;

Valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council;

Registration Certificate from the Clinical Officers Council; and

Certificate in Computer Application Skills

Job Description

Taking history, examining, diagnosing, and treating patients' common ailments;

Implementing community health care activities in liaison with other health workers;

Guiding and counselling patients, clients, and staff on health issues;

Sensitizing patients and clients on preventive and promotive health;

Carrying out minor surgical procedures as per training and skill;

Collecting and compiling clinical data;

Referring patients and clients to appropriate health facilities;

Clinical management of psychiatric patients, mental health assessments, treatment planning, and support under supervision of senior medical staff.
