Job Description
Manages several underwriting professionals. Reviews and ensures conformance with underwriting policies, guidelines, and procedures by subordinate underwriters. Recommends changes in underwriting policies and procedures. Underwrites the large or more complex risks or provides final approval for those underwritten by subordinates.
Minimum Requirements:
- Namibian Citizen,
- NQF level 7 tertiary qualification in Finance, Business Admin or Economics
- 5-10 years of Short-Term Insurance experience.
- 2-3 Years of Supervisory experience
- Insurance or a professional qualification will be an added advantage, e.g. CII, CA, CIMA
- Business acumen,
- Computer literacy and good numerical skills are essential with excellent MS Office skills.
- Ability to work under pressure,
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with sound organizational skills,
- Practical knowledge of Reinsurance: FAC & Treaty
Job Description:

- Responsible for day-to-day feedback and review of performance.
- Coach and mentor staff.
- Deliver, maintain and enhance service/work standards and work quality within a given process.
- Ensure daily processing complies with all appropriate product and legislative rules and requirements.
- Develop and maintains procedural documentation.
Establish and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders. - Build and manages external relationships.
