This is a senior writing and communications role that demands intellectual rigour, economic literacy, and the ability to translate complex investment concepts into compelling, precise content.

The successful candidate will operate with pace, accountability and professionalism, partnering meaningfully across the business to drive communications excellence and deliver work that consistently wows our clients and stakeholders.

  • Drive clear and consistent messaging across internal and external channels, maintaining alignment with OMIG’s purpose, values and investment philosophy.
  • Monitor the competitive environment actively, presenting insights on competitor communication activity and landscape trends to the marketing team on a regular basis.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance engagement, visibility and communication effectiveness in both the Institutional and DFM markets.

Technical Writing & Thought Leadership

  • Produce high-quality, technically rigorous long-form content including CIO commentaries, white papers, stewardship reports, fund reports, speeches and leadership correspondence.
  • Apply a strong understanding of economics and investment principles to write content that is intellectually credible, accurate and compelling for sophisticated audiences.
  • Translate complex investment concepts and market developments into clear, accessible and engaging messaging for a range of stakeholders.
  • Ensure all written output reflects OMIG’s brand standards, professional excellence and commitment to thought leadership.

AI, Innovation & Horizon Scanning

  • Actively adopt and integrate AI tools and emerging technologies into communications workflows to drive efficiency, content quality and creative output.
  • Scan the horizon for developments in communications technology, asset management trends and competitive positioning – and educate the broader team on relevant findings.
  • Champion a mindset of continuous innovation, identifying smarter and faster ways to deliver communications excellence without compromising quality.
  • Stay current with global developments in the investment industry, geopolitical dynamics and economic trends to inform relevant, timely content.

Stakeholder Engagement & Partnering with Intent

  • Build and sustain strong, trusted relationships across the business through professionalism, intellectual credibility and consistent delivery.
  • Partner proactively with senior leaders, portfolio managers, investment teams, and internal stakeholders to gather insights, understand priorities and develop aligned communication.
  • Earn stakeholder confidence and respect through deep subject matter engagement, responsiveness and a solutions-first approach.
  • Collaborate closely with the PR & Content Manager, Brand/Digital Manager and Comms Specialist to ensure integrated, coherent execution across all communication channels.

Project Coordination & Delivery

  • Manage communication projects and campaigns from brief to delivery with precision, pace and accountability.
  • Coordinate timelines, approvals and stakeholder input in partnership with the project manager to ensure quality outcomes and on-time delivery.
  • Operate above the line at all times – taking ownership, solving problems proactively and never passing the buck when challenges arise.
  • Monitor communication effectiveness and continuously identify opportunities for improvement.

Internal Communications & Employee Engagement

  • Lead the internal communications strategy, producing leadership updates, business announcements and internal narrative that keeps the organisation informed, engaged and aligned.
  • Manage communications for internal campaigns, including culture initiatives such as MBM and other employee engagement programmes.
  • Ensure internal communication reflects OMIG’s culture of openness, accountability and bold thinking.

Reputation & Brand Stewardship

  • Contribute to protecting and strengthening OMIG’s reputation through responsible, accurate and strategically considered communication practices.
  • Ensure all communication aligns with corporate governance, confidentiality requirements and brand standards.
  • Support technical media Q&A and spokesperson preparation where investment expertise is required.

Who you are

  • 5–8 years’ experience in communications, corporate affairs or investment content in a financial services or asset management environment.
  • Demonstrated experience producing long-form technical and investment content for institutional or sophisticated investor audiences.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with AI writing and productivity tools is advantageous.

The Strengths You’ll Bring

  • Strong economic and investment literacy – able to understand and articulate complex financial concepts.
  • Solutions-focused mindset – you do not get stuck; you find the path forward.
  • High energy and positive outlook – you bring momentum and constructive energy to the team.
  • Pace and meticulous attention – fast without sacrificing quality.
  • Intellectual credibility – stakeholders trust your thinking and respect your expertise.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills – you earn influence through professionalism and intellectual work.
  • Accountability and ownership – you operate above the line, take responsibility and see things through.
  • Adaptability and learning agility – comfortable with change, open to new tools and ways of working.
  • Collaborative mindset – you partner with intent and help the team succeed together.
