Job Description

naManage the development and implementation of processes, systems, and infrastructure to ensure high quality and timeliness of operations in areas such as account services, international securities, transaction processing, and loan support/credit approval.

Minimum Requirements

  • Namibian Citizenship;
  • Engineering or Surveying NQF 7 Qualification
  • Appropriate Insurance qualification, will be an added advantage
  • 2-5 Years’ industry experience;
  • Interpretation of architectural/engineering drawings and application of occupancy codes;
  • Interpretation of Rational Designs and related change of occupancy codes;
  • Proper knowledge of National Building Regulations and application thereof with the ability to identify shortfalls or non-compliance;
  • Proper knowledge of general Municipal Ordinances and Regulations;
  • Basic knowledge of building construction related to: high rise buildings with basements, LV & HV electrical systems, plumbing systems, sewer systems, storm water systems, fire reticulation/suppression, etc;
  • Basic knowledge of general corporate & commercial business operations and processes in Namibia;
  • Proper knowledge of photovoltaic installations and operations;
  • Proper knowledge of mining operations, processes and activities.

Advantageous

  • Hazardous Materials Awareness Level (NFPA 472)
  • Hazardous Materials Operational Level (NFPA 472)
  • Hazardous Materials Technician Course (NFPA 472)
  • Fire Service Instructor 1 (NFPA 1041)
  • Diploma in Fire Technology will be an advantage.

Job Specification

  • Manages delivery of specialist team in support of business objectives
  • Support the underwriting team in risk assessment at onboarding
  • Provide technical reports to underwriters with risk grading and recommendations
  • Responsible to deliver on operational projects within field of expertise
  • Ensure alignment of risk strategies with underwriting objectives and profitability targets
  • Recommend risk improvements or loss prevention measures within portfolio
  • Combination of office-based underwriting support and fieldwork/site inspections
  • Extensive Experience in day-to-day management
  • Promote a risk-aware culture among colleagues, clients and stakeholders
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with internal & external stakeholders
