About the Role
Overview
Under the direct supervision of the Field Office Manager, the MEAL Coordinator will provide comprehensive support to all awards implemented through the Bale Field Office, ensuring that Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) activities are delivered with quality, consistency, and accountability.
The MEAL Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that program implementation aligns with Save the Children’s MEAL Approach and Standards, donor requirements, the Save the Children MEAL Framework, and any specific programmatic methodologies.
A key part of the role is to ensure that a strong and functional MEAL system—including the PRIME system—is established, maintained, and continuously strengthened. This system should enable high quality program delivery and ensure accountability to beneficiaries, partners, and donors.

Role Competency Requirements & Job Qualifications MEAL Coordinator – Save the Children, Bale Field Office Essential Qualifications . Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEAL, preferably within an INGO environment, including substantial field operations experience in both development and emergency programs.
