We're currently seeking an experienced and motivated 2IC (Second-in-Charge) to join our Gladstone Clinic on a permanent full-time basis.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced healthcare administrator or senior administrator looking to take the next step in their career and grow into a management role. Working closely with an experienced Practice Manager, you'll gain valuable leadership exposure while playing a key role in the day-to-day success of the clinic.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, you'll be responsible for supporting the operational leadership of the clinic and ensuring exceptional service delivery for our clients and patients. As the Practice Manager's second-in-command, you'll take ownership of clinic operations and lead the administration team, particularly during periods when the Practice Manager is away.
This role offers a unique blend of hands-on administration, team leadership and operational management, making it ideal for someone ready to expand their skills and build a long-term career in healthcare leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the clinic
- Lead, support and supervise the administration team
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management activities
- Promote and maintain a high standard of customer service
- Support reception and general administration functions
- Manage medical bookings and scheduling
- Oversee results management processes
- Conduct preliminary medical assessments
- Administer health questionnaires
- Process invoicing and related administrative tasks
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture
About You
We're looking for a proactive and confident professional who enjoys leading others, solving problems and delivering outstanding customer service.
To be successful, you'll bring:
- Previous administration experience, ideally within healthcare or a similar service environment
- Experience supervising, mentoring or leading staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- High-level computer skills
- A commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
- The ability to engage, motivate, coach and empower team members
- Experience with Clarity and/or Best Practice software (highly regarded)
- A current CPR Certificate, or willingness to obtain one (support available if required)
