Research Associate, Department of Medicine at Aga Khan University Hospital

The Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Research Associate in the Nephrology Section, Department of Medicine.

Job Role / Responsibilities:

You will be required to:

• assist in overall research program implementation within the Nephrology Section

• conduct literature reviews and support scientific research activities

• assist in writing study protocols, grant proposals, and ERC applications

• collect data using qualitative (e.g., interviews, focus groups) and quantitative (e.g., surveys) methods

• perform data entry, cleaning, management, and statistical analysis

• ensure data quality control and maintain accurate study records

• support the development and implementation of research tools

• assist in manuscript writing, abstracts, and reports for publications and presentations

• coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for research activities

• prepare and present periodic progress reports

• ensure timely submission of research documentation

• undertake any other tasks assigned by the Principal Investigator.

Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:

You should have:

• a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MBBS/MD) from a reputable institution

• 1–2 years of relevant research experience

• proficiency in research and data analysis tools (e.g., MS Office, SPSS, REDCap, EndNote)

• strong writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• ability to work effectively in a team environment

• strong organizational skills and attention to detail
