We are seeking an experienced and trusted Executive Assistant to provide high level administrative and operational support to the Area Presidency, based at the Pacific Area Office in Auckland, New Zealand. This is a permanent, full time position reporting to the Executive Assistant to the Director for Temporal Affairs (DTA).

We are seeking an experienced and trusted Executive Assistant to provide high‑level administrative and operational support to the Area Presidency, based at the Pacific Area Office in Auckland, New Zealand. This is a permanent, full‑time position reporting to the Executive Assistant to the Director for Temporal Affairs (DTA).
This role requires professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion in managing complex responsibilities within a highly confidential environment. Working with a high degree of independence, the Executive Assistant supports senior Church leaders and contributes to the effective and efficient administration of Area operations.
Responsibilities
In this role, the EA will provide advanced administrative support to the Pacific Area Presidency, including preparing correspondence, reports, agendas, and meeting materials. You will manage calendars, coordinate meetings and travel, prepare minutes, and serve as a liaison between senior leaders and internal and external stakeholders. The role includes coordinating projects, compiling and analysing information, supporting events, and handling sensitive matters with strict confidentiality while exercising sound judgment and initiative.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience totalling 7 years
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including drafting and editing professional correspondence
- Strong research, analytical, and data‑summarisation capabilities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders and diverse stakeholders
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and highly confidential information with discretion
- Strong independent judgment, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail
- Broad understanding of organisational structures, policies, and key relationships
- Working knowledge of Church doctrine, policies, and procedures
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision
- Sitting for long periods of time and moving around the office to deliver mails and other items
- Proof of legal right to work in New Zealand
- A police background check may be required
