Overview
ROLE PURPOSE:
The primary function of this role is to support the The role Save the Children would like to play is to make partnership funcation work rather than only focusing on capacity building. This include enhancing quality of relationship with its partners through frequent interactions and supporting in formulating partnership funcation. The Roving Partnerships is a key position working together with stakeholders and partners across the country program to coordinate, monitor and support the successful implementation of the Partnership Framework.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
Role
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :
- Support Partnership Unit in designing and implementing a Partner Database.
- Participate in capacity monitoring and assessments of partners as requested by Award,programs or partners.
- Coordinate and provide guidance in pre-award assessment of potential partners and identify partner capacity building needs.
- Ensuring tools for the partner’s selection ,assessment and are consistently and thoroughly applied during all partner NGO selection processes.
- Providing regular training and ad hoc guidance, to ensure in-depth knowledge and understanding on Save the Children and donor policies, best practices and government regulations.
- Ensure, a list of potential patners is always available in coordination with Area Managers and relationship manager and relvant staff.
- Frequent field visit (80%) to the fields for selection ,assessement ,Monitoring ,capcity building ,Child Safeguarding and safer program.
- Work with Awards and programs as required to ensure that capacity strengthening component ,activities are properly integrated and implement.
- To provide effective support to the partners for comprehensive implementation of best practices, policies, procedures and regulations Share findings with the partners, supporting them to find solutions to identified issues at the end of visit ensuring the partner understands the relative importance of the issues.
- Circulate the visit reports highlighting the findings and partners opinions to the Save the Children and partner staff, preserving all documents for future reference.
- Ensure partner’s files ,reporting ,agreements ,assessemnets and documentation is well backup ,share and store.
- Ensure the Monitoring check list is well shared,documented and reported during the Monitoring Visit .
- facilitate regular meetings with key partner staff to ensure individual sub award performance is being tracked effectively and that risks and issues are being recognised and action taken.
- Support Award Kick-Off meetings to ensure that all award information is shared effectively with relevant staff across the organization (including field offices) and partners.
- Enusre Donor requirement and compliance is apply during the field vsist.
- Enusre the Impemention with parrners done with quality .
Support daily work on Award Cycle Mnagaement, as per the awards SOP.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Bussiness Adminstration, or Social Science or related field with experinces
- 3-5 years in realted field.
- Experience with supporting organizational capacity strengthening processes ·
- Extensive knowledge of and credibility with local and national NGO partner
- Highly organized approach in Partnerhsip Management.
- A significant work experience in humanitarian and development programs .
- Demonstrated field experience.
- Basic understanding of the local NGOs financial system.
- Knowledge of Sudan context
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong knlweledge of Excel and Analysis /Dashboards.
- Prior demonstrated experience for institutional donors (e.gSIDA,. ECHO, USAID, UNICEF,EU,..)
- Good understanding of donor requirements ..
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively with project members in various locations and from multiple organisations, including remote writing and revising relvent documents;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Ability to work calmly under pressure in a rapidly changing context;
- Willingness and ability to travel to the field and spend 80%.
- Prior experience of facilitating multi-stakeholders workshops and dialogues;
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic;
- Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches.
- Commitment to SCI goals and principles; in particular, an understanding of the mandate of SCI and its focus on children and the ability to ensure that this approach is the foundation of our commitment.
- Desirable
- Experience with INGOs and Partnership Management / Grant Management.
- An understanding of and commitment to, the aims of SC as an organisation working for social change and active in the promotion of the rights of the child.
