Responsibilities:

The role involves rotations through the General Inpatient Paediatric Service, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Normal Newborn Nursery, and the Emergency Room.

The individual will serve as the primary physician on all inpatient units and is expected to conduct daily rounds, collect and interpret clinical data, and actively participate in the management of both well and sick neonates and children under the supervision of senior residents and faculty.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the role requires performing common procedures such as intravenous line placement, venepuncture, lumbar puncture, bone marrow aspiration, nasogastric tube insertion, and developing proficiency in endotracheal intubation. The position offers a comprehensive hands-on learning experience in paediatric care with close mentoring and supervision.

Requirements:

You should have:

  • MBBS degree with a valid PMDC License
  • FCPS Part I
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in teams as well as independently.
