Welcome to Bosch. The Lincolnton, NC Conversion, Customizing and Packaging Center is located approximately 30 miles from Charlotte. The facility employs just under 500 full time associates in a 5-shift operation, which encompasses 235,000 sq ft. along with 12,000 skus. In addition to the conversion, customizing and packaging activities, abrasives are now a big part of our power tool accessory business. ISO certified, our associates engage in BPS, CIP and 5S . Performs preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to improve reliability and minimize downtime. Ensures PM tasks are completed safely and correctly, identifies and documents additional equipment issues, recommends PM improvements, and works independently to support operational performance and equipment availability. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, follows scheduling & reports completion with the Maintenance Planner, and collaborates with the Reliability Engineers about Preventive Maintenance improvements and optimizations.

  • Preventive Maintenance Execution
  • Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with established schedules,procedures, and quality standards.
  • Inspect, lubricate, adjust, clean, and replace components as defined in PM instructions.
  • Verify proper equipment operation following completion of maintenance activities.
  • Ensure PM activities are completed accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Quality & Accountability of Maintenance Activities
  • Maintain ownership of the quality and effectiveness of completed PM tasks.
  • Confirm maintenance activities are fully completed and documented before closing work orders.
  • Identify deficiencies in PM execution and take corrective action as needed. 10%
  • Preventive Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
  • Support and execute preventive maintenance (PM) activities on mechanical, electrical and control systems.
  • Assist in developing and improving PM procedures for critical equipment.
  • Participate in troubleshooting recurring failures and help implement reliability improvements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, uptime, and process efficiency.
  • Equipment Inspection & Problem Identification
  • Detect and document equipment conditions that may require corrective maintenance, repair, or engineering review.
  • Escalate significant mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • ·Collect and communicate relevant information to support troubleshooting and repair efforts. 5%

Safety & Compliance

· Follow all plant safety rules, electrical safety procedures, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements.

· Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company standards, NEC guidelines, and applicable regulations.

· Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.

· Report unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, and maintenance findings promptly.

  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance principles and manufacturing equipment maintenance practices.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to identify abnormal equipment conditions
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to identify abnormal equipment conditions
  • Ability to collect and document maintenance findings accurately
  • Ability to prioritize assigned work and manage time effectively while working independently
  • Knowledge and application of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and plant safety procedures Intermediate
  • Ability to identify and source replacement components
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting.
