As a Data Quality Intern at FamilySearch, you will play a vital role in upholding the integrity and accuracy of genealogical records produced by our vendor partners. Your responsibilities will include carefully reviewing and auditing data, delivering essential feedback to vendors, and ensuring that all indexed records meet our rigorous standards of excellence.

About The Company
Responsibilities
Data Auditing
Review genealogical records submitted by vendor partners to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with FamilySearch guidelines.Feedback & Reporting
Maintain thorough records of audit activities, including identified issues. Deliver timely feedback to vendors via project managers, addressing performance issues and recommending improvements to enhance data quality.Cross-Team Collaboration
Coordinate with project managers, database administrators, and other internal teams to ensure smooth communication, efficient data handling, and alignment on project goals.
Requirements
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
Self-motivated with excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
Strong knowledge of genealogy and family history research methods; practical experience preferred.
Ability to work with records in unfamiliar languages by identifying key terms and patterns, comparing images within collections, and utilizing translation tools such as Google Translate and other language resources.
Language skills and corresponding regional naming conventions are a plus – specifically related, but not limited to Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Latin, Swedish, French, Cyrillic (Russian/Ukrainian), or Thai.
Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
