About the Role

Citi's Services organization provides an integrated suite of innovative and tailored cash management and trade and working capital solutions to multinational corporations, financial institutions (FI) and public sector organizations. Citi's Trade & Working Capital business is the market leader in delivering global trade and working capital financing solutions across sectors.

Trade Asset Syndication is critical to our Citi Trade strategy, we operate regionally but with significant overlap and collaboration across the global team, with members from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences. Our ability to maximize liquidity and provide innovative structured and portfolio solutions will be key to our continual expansion of the Citi Trade business.

This role involves senior level interaction, and coordination across all hubs within Trade. We are looking for candidates with the motivation to grow relationships across both new and existing FI partners, and help us drive innovative strategies for how we enhance liquidity across a growing book of evolving products.


Responsibilities:

  • Identification of the different avenues to syndicate trade asset risk and execution in the optimal form based on business needs

  • Understanding of the different avenues of defeasance available including distribution, insurance, multilateral programs etc.

  • Internal alignment with country / product / sale counterparts on what needs to be sold on specialized areas i.e. Supplier & Receivable Finance, Insured Accounts Receivable portfolios, and Financial Institutions (Letters of Credit and Loans)

  • Fundamental ability to understand underlying Trade transaction and to communicate clearly to investors.

  • Defeasance feedback / assessment: Provide up to date and timely feedback to the origination team on market pricing and appetite for trade assets. Conduct market reads for specific deals where necessary

  • Managing "originate-to-distribute", trade structuring, clubs and syndications deals.

  • Understand and negotiate legal documentation with counterparties (investors, insurers, multilaterals among others)

  • Foster a strong "one team" mentality and interact with key business stakeholders

  • Key contributor towards ongoing technology development to support fully automated trade syndication processes across products


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, MBA preferred

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Trade Product and/or Credit Risk highly preferred

  • Experience in Product Management preferred

  • Leadership ability on senior level projects

  • Ability to multi-task across all levels of the Trade organization

  • Strong track record of demonstrated client facing skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$129,840.00 - $194,760.00
