About the Role

ERM Iberia is looking to hire an intern to support the Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change (CSCC) team, with the possibility of collaborating on projects from other departments such as Safe & Sustainable Operations (SSO) and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). This position offers a unique opportunity to work on national and international projects addressing key challenges in corporate sustainability, compliance, auditing, etc.

This role will be office-based in either our Madrid or Barcelona office. To partake in this internship you must be able to sign a convenio de prácticas universitarias.


Responsibilities

  • Support in GHG emissions inventories and decarbonization strategies.

  • Assistance in climate risk and opportunity assessments (TCFD).

  • Contribution to double materiality assessments, value chain mapping, and other CSRD-related topics.

  • Support in ESG strategy development and sustainability reporting (GRI, CDP, SBTi).

  • Participation in biodiversity assessments (TNFD).

  • Assistance with environmental and industrial safety compliance, including interpretation and monitoring of applicable regulations, collaboration with public authorities, and preparation of technical and administrative documentation.

  • Review of documents, reports, and presentations.

  • Participation in internal and client meetings.

  • Cross-functional collaboration with other ERM Iberia teams.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in disciplines such as environmental science, environmental engineering, biology, sustainability, economics, finance, or similar.

  • Ability to sign a university internship agreement.

  • Proficiency in both Spanish and English.

  • Knowledge of a third language (e.g., French, Portuguese, or Italian) is a plus.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office.

  • Adaptability, initiative, and eagerness to learn.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Interest and ability to research legal regulations and sustainability frameworks such as TCFD, GRI, CDP, SBTi, CSRD, TNFD.
