About the Role
Our client, a growing construction company specializing in waterproofing, renovations, repairs, remodeling, and general construction works, is seeking to recruit a highly competent and hands-on Quantity Surveyor.
The successful candidate will play a key role in project costing, tender preparation, contract administration, site assessments, project monitoring, and cost control. This position is ideal for a proactive professional who understands construction processes and can effectively manage multiple projects from inception to completion.
Candidates with practical experience in waterproofing, building maintenance, renovations, and general construction projects are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, quotations, and tender documents.
- Conduct material take-offs and prepare project budgets.
- Analyze project costs and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Conduct site visits, measurements, and project assessments.
- Monitor project progress against approved budgets and timelines.
- Support project managers in planning and resource allocation.
- Prepare project performance reports and cost analyses.
- Prepare tender submissions and contract documentation.
- Assist in contract administration and project documentation.
- Track project variations and prepare valuation reports.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors, and project teams.
- Attend project meetings and represent the company professionally.
- Ensure timely communication of project requirements and updates.
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project cost reports.
- Monitor project profitability and provide management insights.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building Economics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years\' practical experience in construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience preparing BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documents.
- Experience in waterproofing, renovations, repairs, remodeling, or general construction works will be a strong advantage.
- Ability to independently conduct site assessments and project costing.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and project costing principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and quantity surveying software.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
