Job Summary

Your Career

As a Senior Staff Software Backend Engineer on the Prisma AIRS Red Teaming team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI security. You will work closely with a diverse team of product managers, UX designers, frontend engineers, and other backend engineers to conceptualize, design, and deliver cutting-edge backend solutions for the Prisma AIRS Red Teaming product. This role demands a high degree of technical expertise, a passion for innovation, and a collaborative spirit.

You will be at the forefront of feature development for an industry-defining product in the rapidly evolving space of AI Red Teaming. Your responsibilities will include translating complex technical requirements and user needs into robust and scalable backend services. This will involve leading the architectural design and implementation of new features, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability of the backend codebase. You will also be instrumental in establishing best practices for backend development, mentoring junior engineers, and driving technical excellence within the team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on a product that is redefining how organizations secure their AI systems.

This role is located at our dynamic Santa Clara California headquarters campus, and in office 3 days a week. This is not a remote opportunity.

Your Impact

  • Passionate about developing highly scalable and robust backend services and APIs that offer customers insights into their red teaming engagements and provide actionable solution suggestions.

  • Work on complex red teaming problems that necessitate an in-depth evaluation of requirements and apply engineering techniques to achieve quality results.

  • Identify problems and opportunities, and propose and develop simple and attainable solutions to enhance the team's development process and product quality.

  • Be a role model in establishing and implementing engineering best practices, including test-driven development, for red teaming solutions.

  • Drive collaborative discussions and create synergy among product feature stakeholders to create an amazing red teaming product.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent

  • Minimum 4 years of related programming experience required

  • Expertise in building scalable distributed systems with excellent Python or Golang programming skills

  • Experienced in modern backend frameworks and tools

  • Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform)

  • Experience with relational databases and SQL

  • Ability to work well with a group of senior and junior engineers in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines like GitHub Actions, GitLab Pipelines with Git Version Control

  • Good grasp of asynchronous programming

  • Closely worked with Product Managers and frontend engineers to deliver high-quality features

Nice to haves

  • Familiarity with Microservices architecture patterns

  • Experience with building and scaling APIs

  • Experience with Data-Driven systems

  • Familiarity with Secure by Design patterns and following best security practices

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and the ability to troubleshoot system-level integration and performance issues.

  • Experience with containerizing applications with Docker and Kubernetes

  • Experience with multi-product integration is a plus

The Team

The Prisma AIRS Red Teaming team is dedicated to building an industry-defining product in AI security. This product helps organizations understand and mitigate risks within their AI systems. By providing insights and actionable solutions, the team empowers customers to secure their AI deployments effectively.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.

$126,000.00 - $204,500.00/yr
