Job Description

  • Lead market acceptance strategy to grow Visa card penetrations in Vietnam & Laos, across face-to-face and eCommerce merchants, expanding Visa reach
  • Own execution & rollout of Visa Acceptance Solutions across small businesses (SMB) and everyday spend segments, including quarterly milestone tracking, issuer onboarding, and merchant acquisition campaigns
  • Work closely with Visa Account Executives of Payment Facilitators & Acquirers to co-develop accounts planning, strategies and campaigns aimed at opening new acceptance points and expanding merchant coverage in market
  • Lead economic sensitivity analyses, aimed to deploy tailored commercial actions (i.e., merchant or segment economics adjustments, secure pricing & economics proposals and approvals based on merchant feedback and market conditions in Vietnam and Laos
  • Improve acceptance infrastructure among face-to-face merchants by launching and scaling Tap to Phone, Scan to Pay with interoperability, and expanding NFC adoption to enable seamless and inclusive payment experiences
  • Support e-Commerce card acceptance, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive Token penetration, launching Click to Pay, and deploying CyberSource and security solutions to enhance volumes and trust
  • Size merchant categories across face-to-face and e-Commerce segments to quantify cash usage, and develop targeted strategies to increase Visa acceptance and drive cash displacement through tailored product, pricing, and engagement initiatives
  • Partner closely with Visa Commercial teams to expand acceptance among SMB merchants, with a focus on touristic areas, and collaborate with Visa Government teams to provide strategic input and thought leadership for opening acceptance in Transit and Government use cases
  • Develop and champion thought leadership on merchant acceptance in Vietnam and Laos, providing strategic insights, market intelligence, and forward-looking recommendations to shape Visa’s positioning and influence ecosystem evolution

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, MBA is a plus. Minimum 12 years of experience in payments, acquiring, merchant business development, or product leadership roles, proven track record in market development and acceptance growth initiatives
  • Strong understanding of acquiring business, merchant acceptance, and merchant solutions
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with strong execution skills
  • Ability to design and deliver commercially viable go-to-market strategies
  • Excellent negotiation skills for business agreements and managing relationships and high level of curiosity to learn Visa products and services
  • Hands-on approach to directly managing clients’ counterpart & internal Visa stakeholders, directly working on required tasks
  • Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with efficiency and professionalism with demonstrated problem-solving skills and strong business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Vietnamese
  • Flexibility to business travel for Client meetings (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Laos)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and business case development
