Job Description

  • As a Product manager, you will act as both the Subject Matter Expert (SMEs) and Specialised Sales across the Visa’s Credit and Consumer Solutions, ensuring client-facing teams have the knowledge, collateral and support they need to rapidly grow product penetration and revenue.
  • Supporting the mid- and long term commercialisation (P&L, revenues direct and indirect) for all Credit and Consumer solutions in UK & I, including existing solutions and those in early ideation and concept stages, and work closely with the Value-Added-Services (VAS) organisation to propose end-to-end solutions to clients (e.g., Banking and Lending capabilities from the Tink solution suite, merchant info, Pre-dispute, etc.)
    • Launch and scale enhanced Affluent (Mass, HNW, UHNW) propositions, with expanded Visa benefits to grow portfolio market share, and drive engagement and spend uplift
    • Grow current consumer credit portfolios across UK&I clients, energise dormant/stagnant portfolios, support premium portfolio growth, enhance portfolios in an ethical manner to ensure affordability and regulatory compliance
    • Drive solutions adoption in UK&I and look at commercial opportunities to scale/distribute that allows for broadening credit and instalments products across new markets (e.g. Ireland), and expanding in existing markets (e.g., UK)
    • Work directly with our Issuers and Lenders to develop new lending propositions, taking a customer centric and data driven approach, delivering a clear ROI to Visa and the client.
  • Drive critical client engagements at working-team levels across the sales and commercialisation cycle of the various solutions, and actively manage pipeline of sales opportunities across clients types and against annual P&L targets, and work closely with the sales organisation (VAS, AEs) to drive deals and projects to closure.
  • Contribute to delivery of Visa 2030 strategy through specific client-led sprints to actively provide feedback and requirement into the Regional/Global product roadmaps to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and market ready and continue to innovate to reflect customer and consumer needs. Focus on Premium/HNW and new Credit capabilities/solutions across the lending value chain
  • Support the Senior Director in providing regular updates and reporting to leadership levels of Visa management on key metrics and objectives
  • As requirements of this role and key priorities and initiatives evolve, adapt to growing needs of the team and broader Products organisation.
  • This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

    Qualifications

    • We are looking for a seasoned Product leader with Credit/Lending experience in technology or financial services roles
    • Background in an issuing institution managing and growing credit portfolios (experience with affluent segments preferred), understanding of lending value-chain, capabilities required to underwrite and manage credit/consumer loans end to end along with an understanding of payments regulation
    • Industry knowledge of BNPL and solution vendors is nice to have
    • Curious and inquisitive problem solver – thrives in difficult and big problem spaces
    • The candidate will need to demonstrate strong commercial acumen, data fluency and have an in depth understanding of Credit P&L KPIs, as well as trends in the credit and lending market
    • Rigorous thinker, ability to transpose business, financial and technical understanding to relevant market inputs with sales and product teams as well as with external client discussions – leading to commercial & revenue opportunities
    • Ownership and driving impact are important aspects to the role, must have the mindset to fully understand and quickly overcome commercial, technical, industry and internal challenges to succeed
    • Comfortable in iterative and continuous change to maximise opportunities and drive efficiencies
    • Strong ability to progress solutions and enhancements with urgency and prioritized focus for commercial and strategic benefits for our customers and Visa
