Job Summary
Relevant qualification in Insurance or Business (advantageous)Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in motor claims (short-term insurance)
At least 1–2 years’ experience in a supervisory or team leader role
Strong knowledge of motor claims processes and insurance principles. To lead a team of dedicated Claims employees to obtain the lowest possible claims cost while delivering consistently high levels of service to each and every customer..
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of motor claims consultants to achieve operational targets.
- Oversee the end-to-end processing of motor claims in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and drive team performance against KPIs, SLAs, and quality standards.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance support to team members.
- Handle escalated and complex claims, ensuring timely resolution.
- Ensure excellent customer service and positive client outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including brokers and service providers.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to risk, compliance, and fraud prevention practices.
- People Management: Coach, mentor and manage team members toward driving business objectives and ensuring colleague development | Capacity Planning: Continuously plan the execution of team duties against plan and service level requirements | Operational excellence: Supervise and support the execution of priorities by team against service level agreements and customer outcomes | Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all team activities are in adherence to relevant control and compliance requirements, and quality standards | Administration: Effectively fulfil all required administrative duties, including tracking and reporting
Education
Higher Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
