About the Role

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented UI Designer to join our dynamic team at Britam. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the design of intuitive and visually compelling user interfaces across a range of digital products, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about user-centered design, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is driven to create seamless and engaging user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with senior designers and project managers to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for web and mobile applications.

2. Assist in the design and development of wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and user interface components using design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma.

3. Participate in user research and usability testing activities to gather feedback and insights for iterative design improvements.

4. Work closely with developers and other team members to ensure the effective implementation of UI designs, while maintaining consistency and usability across different platforms and devices.

5. Stay updated on industry trends, design principles, and best practices in UI/UX design to support continuous improvement and innovation.

6. Contribute ideas and solutions to enhance the user experience and visual appeal of digital products and interfaces.

7. Document design processes, decisions, and guidelines to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications required and Essential Competencies - External

  1. Degree in Computer Science , Interaction Design, HCI or any related field from an accredited institution
  2. Strong interest in UI/UX design and proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar software.
  3. Creative flair and a keen eye for detail, with a passion for creating elegant and user-friendly designs.
  4. Familiarity with design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
  5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  6. Ability to take constructive feedback and iterate on designs to achieve optimal outcomes.
  7. Enthusiasm for learning and a strong desire to develop skills and knowledge in UI design.
