About the Role

About the role

BURN is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician works with the QC team manufacturing staff and research and development team to ensure inspection and testing procedures are implemented and maintained. He/she will assist in the development of standards to meet quality requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

Support the New Product Development (NPD) & Operations team by collecting test data, drafting reports, and giving quality feedback throughout the test period.

Ensure the technical documents required for production meet document control and revision requirements.

Analyse data to identify trends in product quality or defects to mitigate and prevent recurrence and future defects. Identify root causes of problems in the production process; recommend and/or implement corrective measures.

Conduct an audit on quality jigs and fixtures, tools, and equipment to ensure they are calibrated and up to date.

Ensure that products meet the organization, customers' quality, and product integrity requirements.

Ensure manufacturing processes comply with industry standards and regulations. Identify possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.

Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in the manufacturing or production environment, preferably in QA/QC or process engineering.

Working knowledge of quality control methodologies.

Experience in inspection and testing processes, including the use of measuring instruments.

Strong data analysis skills (Excel or Equivalent) for identifying trends, defects, and process deviations.

Familiarity with document control systems and revision management.

Understanding of relevant industry standards, e.g., ISO 9001, EN standards where applicable.

Basic CAD skills, e.g., SolidWorks, Auto CAD for reviewing drawings, and jigs and fixtures.

Experience with quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP

Knowledge of lean Manufacturing/ Six Sigma principles.

High attention to detail and structured problem-solving approach.
