About the Role

Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Data Scorecard Design and Implementation Leader with proven expertise in data scorecard frameworks, data controls and data governance within the financial services industry.

This is a strategic role for a leader passionate about data-driven insights, performance measurement, and regulatory compliance. You will drive the design, development, and execution of scorecards that capture and visualize critical metrics, aligning closely with Citi’s objectives and the industry’s highest standards.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical prowess, operational insight, and leadership excellence, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive impactful data solutions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities and Good to have skill sets:

  • Lead Scorecard Strategy & Development
    Spearhead the creation and implementation of comprehensive data scorecards to track performance metrics and regulatory compliance, specifically for Banking & International. Integrate leading frameworks, including BCBS 239 etc. principles for risk data aggregation and reporting, to ensure precision and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Advisory
    Partner with finance, risk, operations, and IT to define DQ scorecard requirements, CDE selection and DQ Rules and ensure metrics are aligned with organizational goals and regulatory mandates. Act as a trusted advisor, continuously refining scorecard requirements to reflect evolving business strategies.
  • Advanced Data Analytics & Technical Execution
    Utilize data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) to conduct deep-dive analyses, refine scorecard metrics, and oversee technical implementation—from data sourcing and transformation to integration and visualization.
  • Project Leadership & Methodology
    Manage scorecard projects from concept to completion, coordinating across functions to ensure timely, high-quality delivery. Leverage project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project) to streamline workflows, monitor progress, and meet project milestones.
  • Educate & Empower Stakeholders
    Lead workshops and training sessions to enhance data literacy, facilitate metric interpretation, and foster a culture of data-driven performance management throughout the organization.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background
    bachelor’s degree in data science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Experience
    • 14+ years in data analytics, scorecard design, business intelligence, or data governance within financial services.
    • Strong background in data engineering, data controls, data governance and management frameworks, with a successful track record implementing enterprise-level scorecards.
  • Technical Proficiency- Good to have :
    Expertise in React, Java, SQL, Python, Hadoop is a big plus, and hands-on experience with ETL processes and data architecture for efficient, scalable pipelines.
  • Project Management & Analytical Skills
    Extensive experience managing complex, cross-functional data projects, with a proactive problem-solving approach and a strong foundation in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
    Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering alignment and driving data-driven insights at all organizational levels.
