About the Role
At Code and Theory, we thrive at the intersection of creativity and technology. We build brands through big ideas, bold storytelling, and content that actually moves people. Our teams don't just execute work. They shape it. Through a culture of invention, we turn ambitious concepts into memorable experiences that resonate across every channel.
Production is the engine that drives creative work forward at Code and Theory. Our producers are equal parts creative partner and operational powerhouse: planning, scoping, pricing, challenging, and innovating to bring structure to the chaos so the best work can thrive. They know how to spot a great concept, push it further, and get it out the door on time and on budget - while keeping clients genuinely excited about what they're building together.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Champion great ideas from the jump. You collaborate with creative, strategy, and technology to shape work that's compelling, on-brand, and worth talking about. You make it better, not just produceable.
- Own projects from the first brief or pitch all the way through final delivery. Proactively identify risks, maintain a mitigation plan, and know when to escalate. When issues pop-up, you solve them.
- Hold complex programs together across concurrent workstreams. You keep cross-functional teams coordinated and moving with minimal oversight.
- Serve as the day to day client contact on your accounts. You're the person the client calls, and they're glad they did.
- Build genuine trust with senior stakeholders. You're comfortable in the room, confident presenting, and know how to keep clients excited about the work in progress.
- Drive alignment across clients, internal teams, and external partners. Nothing falls through the cracks. Everyone knows what good looks like.
- Facilitate reviews across creative, strategy, technology, and leadership. You keep feedback loops tight and decisions moving.
- Own project scope, SOWs, budgets, and profitability. You know when a change order conversation needs to happen and you have it.
- Identify opportunities to grow client partnerships and expand the impact of the work.
- Stay ahead of what's changing in technology, emerging channels, and AI-enabled workflows. You find smarter ways to work and move fast enough to actually apply them.
- Mentor producers and team members, share what you know, and always look for better ways to do the work - not just on your projects, but across the whole team.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 6+ years of experience leading integrated projects across digital, social, video, content, and campaign initiatives.
- A bias toward action. When something is unclear or uncharted, you figure it out. You don't need a perfect brief or a proven playbook to move forward and do great work.
- A genuine love of content, storytelling, and creative ideas. You get excited when something is really good.
- A background in production, line production, account management, or program management. We care about how you operate, not the exact path that got you here.
- A track record of real client relationships, not just client adjacency. You've been the person the client calls.
- Fluency in budget management and SOW creation. You can run a clean P&L and hold a scope conversation with confidence. You know how to balance budget, scope, and timeline.
- Experience sourcing and managing vendors and freelancers. You know how to find the right external partners, negotiate engagements, and hold them to the same standard as the internal team.
- The ability to move fast without breaking things. You keep momentum going while staying organized and accountable.
- Humility and a collaborative spirit. The best ideas can come from anywhere, and you create space for them. You handle high-pressure moments with kindness, diplomacy, and grace, making the people around you better for having worked with you.
