Why This Role Matters

As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll provide critical support to Project Managers, ensuring smooth execution across all project phases. Your work will help maintain timelines, budgets, and quality standards—directly contributing to client satisfaction and ERM’s reputation for excellence.

What Your Impact Is

  • Assist with project coordination from proposal through closure, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within scope.
  • Maintain project documentation, trackers, and dashboards for accurate reporting.
  • Support financial processes, including invoicing schedules, accruals, and cost tracking.
  • Facilitate meeting logistics, prepare agendas/minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Help enforce health, safety, and compliance standards across project activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and subcontractors to keep deliverables on track.

What You’ll Bring

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 6–8 years of experience in project coordination or project management support.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn project management tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in environmental consulting, engineering, or sustainability projects.
  • Familiarity with financial tracking, invoicing, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Exposure to cost estimation tools and project governance processes.
  • Certifications such as CAPM or progress toward PMP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proposal Phase: Assist with subcontractor vetting, cost estimate preparation, and project plan development.
  • Contract Phase: Organize documentation, support project setup, and ensure governance requirements are met.
  • Start-Up Phase: Coordinate kick-off meetings, invoicing schedules, and health & safety documentation.
  • Implementation Phase: Track progress, update schedules, monitor scope changes, and maintain risk/issue logs.
  • Delivery & Closure: Support technical reviews, ensure timely deliverable submission, and assist with invoicing and collections.
