Job Summary

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our Machine Identity Management CyberArk team, focused on building and scaling frontend experiences that enable visibility, control, and orchestration of machine identities.

In this role, you will lead the design and architecture of frontend systems that sit on top of complex distributed platforms. You will shape how high-volume, real-time and near real-time system data is surfaced, enabling users to understand, manage, and act on machine identity workflows at scale.

This role is ideal for engineers who thrive at the intersection of frontend architecture, platform thinking, and complex system visualization, and who want to drive consistency and clarity across product surfaces.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design and architecture of scalable frontend systems supporting machine identity workflows and control plane experiences

  • Define and evolve frontend standards, patterns, and reusable components across the organization

  • Build and optimize data-intensive interfaces that reflect real-time system state and complex distributed workflows

  • Partner with backend and platform teams to shape API design, data contracts, and system interactions

  • Translate complex technical systems into intuitive, high-clarity user experiences

  • Drive frontend performance strategy, including state management, rendering efficiency, and data handling at scale

  • Establish and improve frontend development practices, testing strategies, and CI/CD workflows

  • Act as a technical leader and mentor, influencing frontend direction across teams

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of frontend or full-stack software development experience

  • Strong experience building modern frontend applications using React and TypeScript

  • Deep understanding of frontend architecture, including state management, performance optimization, and component design

  • Experience building data-intensive, workflow-driven, or control plane user interfaces

  • Experience working with distributed systems (consuming complex backend services and APIs)

  • Ability to translate complex system behavior into clear, usable UI

  • Proven ability to drive technical direction and influence across teams

  • Strong collaboration skills across engineering, product, and design

Nice to Have

  • Experience with GraphQL and modern API patterns

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  • Familiarity with identity or security-related systems (PKI, certificates, authentication)
