Job Description

Team Summary:

Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) is Visa's consulting division, serving Visa's clients (including card issuers, acquirers and merchants) and solving their strategic problems, focused on improving performance and profitability. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, payments, data analytics, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, VCA drives high impact projects with tangible financial results.

VCA Implementation Services (VIS) is a critical component of our VCA strategy, providing our clients with the execution muscle they require to deliver and implement strategic projects. VIS brings the ‘best of Visa’ to the clients, playing the role of orchestration layer between client teams and Visa subject matter experts (SMEs). As clients confront increased challenges in their operating environment whilst also facing capacity constraints and capability gaps, VIS helps to drive implementation or delivery of their strategic initiatives, facilitating significant and tangible value creation.


What a Client Consulting Manager - does at Visa:

The Client Consulting Manager is responsible for project managing engagements where a team of techno-functional individuals are tasked to work with the client in delivering, setting-up, and configuring their payment systems to enable new products, features, and functionality as well as addressing issues that block the successful usage of these products.
Key activities are to:

  • Drive planning, executing, and delivering projects related to card products (debit, credit, prepaid, etc.), card scheme migrations and commercial money movement solutions within scope, time, and budget constraints along a project plan.

  • Work as a functional and technical champion within Visa to advocate for the client. Work with the solution architects and with the product teams to understand and navigate competing product development priorities and backlogs and to effectively communicate and manage client expectations.

  • Collaborate with IT, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and external vendors to gather project requirements and track progress.

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, reports, and meeting minutes.

  • Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies escalate as necessary to ensure timely resolution.

  • Manage the testing, defect resolution, client sign-off, and product enablement for any delivered product, feature, or enhancement.

  • Ensure all project activities adhere to internal control standards, industry regulations, and data security policies.

  • Maintain a high level of expertise across Visa products and solutions with a detailed understanding and appreciation for overall strategic context, priorities, and revenue goals.


This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree in any field
  • Payments and Financial Services and Technologies consulting background and experience

  • Experience in managing financial and payment system implementations, including card scheme migrations

  • Experience with software development testing, issues identification, and resolution

  • Experience in SDLC processes and tools (JIRA, Rally, Wikis, etc.)

  • Experience using Postman or other API platforms

  • Experience with REST processing language

  • Ability to analyze data sets to identify insights, risks, and improvement opportunities

  • Exposure to real world AI use cases in financial services, with an ability to translate opportunities to AI requirements

  • Experience working with cross functional teams that delivered on system requirements, design, development, implementations, testing, training, and support

  • Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously, along project milestones, risks and dependencies

  • Understanding and working experience with Agile, Scrum delivery models to support Agile ceremonies

  • Ability to manage customer expectations and negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders

  • Project management certification (e.g. PMP, CAPM, Prince2 Foundation) is a plus

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to simplify and communicate complex technical issues to non-technical executives, sales teams, and other stakeholders
