Job Description

What the Director of Partnerships at Visa Consulting & Analytics does:

We are looking for an individual who will help us define and execute VCA’s partnership strategy, including identifying, structuring and scaling partnerships that enhance VCA’s advisory offerings, solution depth and commercial outcomes.

You will work closely with:

  • VCA Practice Area leads to understand the partnership needs

  • Asia Pacific VCA LT (Leadership Team) to test partnership thesis and partner list

  • External partners across different ecosystems (payments, data, AI, tech, etc.)

Key responsibilities:

Partnership Strategy & Development

  • Define VCA’s partnership strategy across key ecosystem categories (fintechs, technology providers, data platforms, AI firms, commerce enablers, etc.)

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential partners that enhance VCA’s advisory relevance, differentiation, and scalability

  • Structure partnership models (commercial, solution-led, co-innovation, go‑to‑market) aligned to VCA growth objectives

Go‑to‑Market & Revenue Enablement:

  • Co‑create joint propositions, consulting solutions, and playbooks with selected partners

  • Partner with regional and market‑level VCA teams to embed partnerships into client pitches, proposals, and engagements

  • Support pipeline development and conversion by bringing ecosystem capabilities into strategic client conversations

  • Track partnership performance against revenue, pipeline, and client impact metrics

Stakeholder & Ecosystem Management:

  • Build senior executive relationships across partners and Visa stakeholders

  • Act as the primary VCA point of contact for strategic partners across Asia Pacific

Thought Leadership & Market Positioning:

  • Partner with VCA leadership to position Visa as a trusted advisor and ecosystem orchestrator

  • Contribute to external thought leadership, industry forums, and partner‑led events

  • Identify emerging ecosystem trends and translate them into advisory opportunities for clients

Operating Model & Governance:

  • Establish partnership governance, operating cadence, and success metrics

  • Ensure partnerships are scalable, repeatable, and commercially viable across markets

  • Continuously refine partnership models based on performance and market feedback

*This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience across strategy consulting, payments, fintech, technology, or adjacent ecosystems
  • This role will require up to 30% travel, primarily within the AP region.
  • Demonstrated experience building and scaling strategic partnerships with measurable commercial outcomes
  • Strong understanding of the payments and digital commerce ecosystem (issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, platforms)
  • Proven ability to operate in a matrixed, global organization and influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience working with or within top-tier consulting firms, fintechs, or large technology platforms strongly preferred
  • Strong executive presence, commercial judgment, and ability to translate strategy into execution
