Overview
This position is primarily for educational or religious purposes and should be used for providing valuable educational experiences for the Intern. It is to give the Intern an opportunity to see how principles and practices learned in their educational institutions are applied in actual work setting. Under general supervision, the Intern performs work as assigned by the department.
The purpose of this role is to assist in the work of salvation and exaltation by providing individual contributor, entry level administrative support to one or more leader and/or one or more functional team or work group.

Primary Duties:
- Deliver professional and courteous customer service
- Enforce organizational parking regulations with fairness and consistency
- Maintain detailed records and assist in cross-functional projects
- Support daily operations to ensure a safe and efficient parking environment

Department: Parking Services - Church Headquarters Facilities
Location: Church Office Building - 50 E North Temple Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84150
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am-4:00pm (40 hours a week) -
Compensation: $21-$23/hr + depending on experience.
Additional Information:
- Must be willing to work events and holidays as scheduled.
- This is a temporary position lasting 6-12 months.
- Limited benefits are available.
**Please Note: This position does not qualify for students required to work on the Ensign College Campus.**
About The Company
Responsibilities
- Preparing memos, documents, reports, spreadsheets (including charts and graphs), and presentations using a wide range of software and platforms.
- Maintain professional communication with internal teams, supervisors, and the public through verbal and written correspondence.
- Collecting data and compiling information. Handle data entry, record maintenance, filing, and report preparation to ensure accurate documentation and efficient administrative operations.
- Taking meeting minutes Coordinate parking logistics for special events, including signage, staff deployment, and traffic flow management.
- Using computer apps and software to schedule meetings and appointments and maintain calendars. Assist with the daily management of parking operations, including scheduling shifts, coordinating reserved parking, handling event parking arrangements, and sending notifications to ensure smooth operation and efficient use of parking spaces.
- Answering and screening telephone calls - forwards calls and takes messages as needed
- Receiving and sorting mail and correspondence, provide courteous and effective assistance to customers by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and offering information about parking services and guidelines.
- Operating standard office equipment such as copy machines
- Ordering office supplies as needed/required
- Maintaining office files
- Supporting parking compliance by issuing notices, responding to enforcement-related questions, and maintaining knowledge of parking policies, procedures, and local regulations.
- Maintaining the upkeep of safe, clean, and efficient parking lot conditions by proactively identifying and addressing maintenance needs.
- Offering support with parking management software applications, associated equipment, and the operation of online parking systems and websites
- Assisting with projects by helping to plan, coordinate, and execute tasks as directed by management.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter and must have a valid driver's license.
Key Skills include the ability to:
- Communicate professionally in writing and verbally.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and other software at a developing level to schedule appointments, modify spreadsheets, and update word documents.
- Operate and maintain standard office equipment.
- Problem solve and resolve basic conflict and problems
- Organize and prioritize work and needs
- Understand and follow instructions.
- Interact and work with others in a productive and professional way.
- Work with discretion, confidentiality, and integrity
To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as
- Remaining stationary or in a sitting position for long periods of time
- Moving about the office to deliver mail and other items
- Using computer monitors/equipment
- Operating company carts or vehicles
