Introduction to the Team
In this role, you will support key learning and development initiatives by leading the process of partnering with subject matter experts (SMEs) and Instructional Designers (IDs) to develop effective learning solutions. You will own the ongoing administration and optimization of our LMS and ensure learning content remains relevant, accessible, and aligned with organizational goals while fostering a culture of continuous learning.
In this role, you will:
Content Development and Project Management
- Manage learning projects from initial concept through development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Partner with SMEs to identify learning needs and objectives, transform complex information into engaging content that support business goals.
- Conduct needs analyses and interviews to identify skill gaps and learning opportunities for Vacation Consultants, Franchisees, and Managers.
- Collaborate with IDs to incorporate assessments, activities, and knowledge checks to reinforce learning and measure effectiveness.
- Review, edit, and continuously enhance learning materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, quality, and alignment with organizational standards.
Facilitation
- Facilitate safe, interactive and engaging virtual and in-person learning experiences to diverse audiences and varying experience levels.
- Adapt facilitation approaches in real time based on audience needs, feedback and learner understanding to reinforce key concepts through discussion and application.
- Create and prepare materials for workshops, Office Hours and webinars.
LMS Administration and Learning Evaluation
- Administer and maintain learning content within the LMS and ensure external course catalogues remain current, organized, and accessible.
- Support LMS enhancements, troubleshooting, and Corporate team, Vacation Consultants, Franchisees and Manager engagement in the tool.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret learner feedback, evaluation results, and performance data to measure the success of learning initiatives.
- Provide recommendations to improve learning effectiveness, engagement, and business impact based on feedback and data.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Proficient in planning, organization, and project management with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience collaboratively working with external stakeholders and SMEs to identify training needs/gaps and develop resources.
- Experienced in delivering training curriculum to adult learners.
- Demonstrated skills in facilitating safe, engaging and inclusive workshops while managing group dynamics and varying audiences and levels of expertise.
- Proficient using in person and virtual facilitation tools to engage diverse audiences and deliver content without being.
- Proficient in managing the technical requirements of a Learning Management System and ability to build and maintain both internal and external documentation and learning materials
- A keen eye for detail in content development and quality assurance.
- Proven ability to build positive relationships across all levels and a team player with well-developed interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to simplify complex information and convey messages that are understood clearly by adopting a range of styles, tools and techniques appropriate to the audience and the nature of the information.
- Innovative thinking to design engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Results oriented with a focus on supporting SMEs in achieving their priorities.
- Ability to measure learning impact (engagement, satisfaction, retention and application), identify learning gaps/needs and translate learning metrics into business outcomes (ROI) using learning evaluation frameworks and LMS data
- A background in a franchise environment or experience in the travel industry is a key asset.
- Proficient and comfortable with using technology applications.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
The total cash range for this position in Vancouver is $73,000.00 to $102,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $117,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
