About the Role

We’re looking for a Midweight Motion Designer to join our newly set up APAC Brand and Creative team in Singapore. You’ll play a key part in helping our in-house agency create impactful, recognisable and effective marketing assets, helping Wise reach millions of existing and potential customers around the world.

The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, passionate, self-starter with at least 5 years experience in similar in-house teams or branding agencies with exceptional communication skills – both with peers and stakeholders.

We’re looking for someone with strong design and motion skills, excellent visual communication abilities, creative optimism, and a hunger to learn and tackle challenges. Someone who is truly social-first in their thinking, with a solid understanding of how to design for digital platforms – from knowing what works across different social channels to adapting creative for various formats, behaviours and audience expectations – underpinned by an intuitive understanding of regional cultural nuances and creative formats across Asian markets. Ideally, you would also feel comfortable using and experimenting with new AI tools to enhance creativity and speed up workflows.

Your mission

Wise exists to build money without borders. Over a decade ago, we challenged the way the world moves money – cutting out hidden fees and making international finance simpler and fairer. Today, we help millions of people and businesses send, spend and manage money across countries with ease, making money simple, accessible and smart for everyone, everywhere.

The Brand and Creative team is made up of 25+ people and based in London and Singapore. As a team our mission is to bring Wise’s story to life with clarity and creative excellence. We champion the brand across every touchpoint – making complex financial ideas simple, human and engaging. From big campaigns to everyday content, we work to ensure Wise is recognised and trusted worldwide, helping people and businesses move money faster, cheaper and more transparently.

Here’s how you’ll be contributing within the Brand and Creative team:

  • You’ll be collaborating with a talented and diverse team of designers, copywriters, strategists, video editors and project managers

  • Owning projects from start to finish, you’ll collaborate across many Marketing teams to understand their objectives and deliver compelling creative ideas that answer the brief

  • You’ll build relationships with stakeholders, following up on performance and insights to learn how we can iterate to have more impact

  • You’ll convey ideas and beliefs with imagination and conviction, using creativity to challenge assumptions and ask ‘what if’

  • You’ll be a custodian of the brand applying it intuitively from button to billboard

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Develop: You’ll get to lead on a variety of projects and work with performance data to constantly improve motion across marketing channels. You’ll be working with a talented and passionate bunch of designers, copywriters and video editors. We’re a feedback friendly organisation and you’ll have loads of opportunities to learn and be challenged.

  • Be creative: You’ll use curiosity and creativity to challenge the status quo and deliver confident ideas, while always considering commercial impact. You’ll bring inspiration from everywhere, constantly striving to connect our brand to culture and the worlds our customers live in. We’re looking for someone with oodles of passion and interest in all things creative.

  • Have impact: You’ll join our exciting mission to build money without borders and show people that Wise is the smartest way to manage their international money.

Qualifications

  • You have strong fundamentals: Your portfolio shows confident design and motion skills — strong typography, layout and art direction — as well as a clear grasp of brand, storytelling and marketing across multiple platforms and formats. You communicate your thinking clearly, presenting process, ideas and solutions with confidence. You’re strategic and solutions-focused, always seeking to understand the real objectives behind a brief before jumping into execution.

  • You are curious: You dig beneath the brief to understand the problem, audience and context. You’re analytical and comfortable using performance insights to inform and iterate on your work. You’re constantly exploring smarter, more creative ways to bring ideas to life.

  • You are resilient and open: You treat feedback as a natural and valuable part of the craft. You use it to refine your work and strengthen your thinking, and you offer considerate, actionable critique to others. You have a sharp eye for detail and high standards for craft.

  • You are a self-starter: You manage your workload with confidence, push projects forward and make strong creative decisions independently. You know when to move fast on your own and when to bring others in for alignment.
