About the Role
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES NEEDED
- Understanding of Youth Changers Kenya
- Demonstrated professional, executive, or leadership experience and accomplishments in fundraising, monitoring and evaluation, and finance.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in one or more key functional areas: fundraising, monitoring and evaluation, and business development in the development sectors.
- Demonstrated creative, strategic, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to actively listen, consider diverse perspectives, ask relevant questions to foster mutual understanding, and synthesize information to build consensus.
- Personal qualities should include integrity, credibility, and a demonstrated
- passion for enhancing the professionalism and capacity of Youth Changers
- Kenya’s beneficiaries and partners.
- Fluency in English and strong communication skills are required.
- Board of Directors experience is a plus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Setting Fundraising Strategy: Work with the Team Leader to establish and guide the organization’s overall fundraising vision and goals.
- Governance Oversight: Ensure fundraising activities comply with legal, ethical, and best-practice standards.
- Resource Leveraging: Leverage personal and professional networks to open doors and identify fundraising opportunities.
- Monitoring & Evaluation: Regularly review fundraising progress and
- outcomes, holding the executive director and staff accountable for targets.
- Financial Stewardship: Oversee the allocation and use of raised funds to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
- Board Participation: Actively participate in board meetings, fundraising committees, and relevant organizational discussions.
