  • Create compelling, accessible and visually engaging consultation materials, including public-facing communications, exhibition boards, summaries, and digital content that clearly articulate complex information.
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams, coordinating input from project managers, EIA specialists, engineers, legal advisors, and planners to ensure alignment with consenting requirements, programme milestones, and wider project objectives.
  • Build strong, constructive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including local authorities, government bodies, statutory and non-statutory consultees, community groups, and the general public—helping to build trust and demonstrate transparency.
  • Lead business development efforts, including shaping persuasive proposals, delivering high-impact client presentations, and contributing to targeted marketing campaigns in collaboration with social sustainability colleagues.

Essential skills

  • Knowledge and experience of UK planning regimes e.g. DCO, TCPA, Section 36
  • Experience of UK infrastructure projects
  • Solid stakeholder experience. Experience on DCO project applications (desirable)
  • Strong consultancy experience
  • Research, analytical and inter-personal skills with diligent attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills including scopes of work and budgets
