Radiographer - Home Health Services

Entity: Aga Khan University Hospital

Location: Karachi, Pakistan

Introduction:

The Aga Khan University Hospital in addition to its five Hospitals creates access through its Outreach Services which include Clinical Laboratories, Outpatient Medical Centres, Pharmacy services, Home Health and other services. Outreach Services are designed to provide primary to secondary healthcare services to patients near their homes and are present in several cities across Pakistan.

Outpatient Medical Centres offer a range of specialty clinics including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Cardiopulmonary, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics and Physiotherapy, and cater to children, adults, and elderly patients for general health checks or specific disease consultations.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to:

  • Perform radiological procedures in a home setting as prescribed by the treating clinician.

  • Handle cash and financial transactions responsibly, in accordance with organizational policies

  • Demonstrate basic competencies in processing images, can identify minor issues and must have ability to counteract

  • Maintain and monitor relevant KPIs

  • Ensure maintenance of relevant equipment and make minor adjustments to the same if required and report to supervisor in case of any fault or breakdown

  • Perform daily quality assurance activities

  • Provide patient education and preparatory information on pre / post radiological procedures to the patients

  • Follow all safety protocols, including radiation safety measures for patients and staff, and ensure travel safety as well as safety and security within the home environment complies with departmental standards & practices.

Requirements:

You should have:

  • Intermediate in Science stream subjects, B.Sc. Preferred with traineeship in Radiography from a recognized hospital.

  • Certified as radiologic technologist/technician from a recognized Institute

  • 1-2 years relevant experience as a Radiographer is preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office
