The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at The Aga Khan University is a dynamic academic center which serves the diagnostic needs of the country through its clinical laboratory services that spreads across Pakistan. AKUH’s Clinical Laboratory is College of American Pathologists (CAP) accredited and caters to the need of the entire country through its tertiary lab at the main campus and 300+ specimen collection units and 13 stat labs across Pakistan.

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine consists of five major sections namely Chemical Pathology, Haematology, Histopathology, Microbiology, and Molecular Pathology. Each section is academically driven and is highly engaged in research and undergraduate, postgraduate teaching and training.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

• Maintaining proper filing and ensuring accurate documentation management
• Manage sectional dry stock orders, including timely requisitioning and maintaining accurate inventory logs
• Coordinate and support meeting logistics, including scheduling, arrangements, and interdepartmental coordination
• Assist in travel planning, bookings, and preparation of detailed travel expense reports in compliance with policies
• Assisting in ongoing professional processes evaluation and related documentation
• Assist in maintain and regularly update records of fixed assets to ensure accuracy and accountability
• Initiate and process PR, MSR, and ROP requests in a timely and efficient manner for faculty.
• Providing support in various HR-related administrative tasks to ensure efficient departmental operations

Requirements:

You should have:

• A minimum of Bachelor’s degree
• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Good communication and interpersonal Skills
• Good customer orientation
• Good English writing skills including the ability to prepare minutes of the meeting.
• Proficient in use of Computer packages e.g., MS Office
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
