Overview

This position helps make gospel teachings, resources, or services accessible to all in a simple and affordable way, supporting the mission of the Church..

Coordinate travel arrangements for Church employees, missionaries, General Authorities and other Church representatives. Secure travel reservations via air, rail, rental car and hotel throughout the world. Coordinate visa acquisition as needed. Resolve a wide variety of complex travel and/or documentation problems in a responsive and professional manner. Ensure a smooth travel experience for customers.

Responsibilities

  1. Plan travel itineraries, utilizing the most cost efficient means of travel, advising of options available as well as associated costs.
  2. Manage the booking of travel reservations for airlines, hotels, trains, automobiles, etc. through the reservations system, internet, or directly with vendors.
  3. Prepare itineraries, with appropriate detail (restrictions, etc.) and other helpful information for traveler usage.
  4. Ensure that the appropriate visa is obtained and documents audited for accuracy, if required.
  5. Follow appropriate accounting guidelines in the invoicing, payment, and billing of all transactions.
  6. Prepare check requisitions for accounting processing.
  7. Correspond regularly with consulates, which may include arranging a traveler's personal visit with them.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate plus three years office or related experience (travel industry preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Must have excellent and clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and be sensitive to client needs.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft applications).
